Examining the Position of Wright’s Fallingwater in the Context of His Larger Body of Work: An Analysis Using Fractal Dimensions

Frank Lloyd Wright, one of the world’s most famous architects, produced several masterworks in his career, possibly celebrated which is Kaufmann House, better known as Fallingwater. One common arguments historians make about this house that it unique Wright’s oeuvre, not similar to other designs he three major styles dominated career: Prairie, Textile-Block and Usonian styles. In paper, derived fractal dimensions (D) using standard architectural variation application box-counting method are developed for elevations plans Using measurements from a set 15 houses, paper tests whether Fallingwater indeed an outlier body work, some suggest.
